Seneca B. THrall Reach's Corinth mississippi.
Seneca arrives at the camp of the Union Armies 13 Infantry of Iowa. In his first letter he states that it took him nearly four days to reach Corinth, Mississippi. He writes to his wife about how he has received letters from her and his family. He also tells her about some errands he needs her to run, such as paying back some money they had borrowed. He seems to be rather somber, writing in a calm if only slightly depressing way.
He would later witness the aftermath of the battle of Corinth, where he would show indifference. Seneca will later write his brother Scott, to tell him that he should not enlist because he would not be able to handle the harshness of military life.
